Herbert West
Herbert West is a writer, filmmaker, and part-time funeral director of stories that refuse to stay dead. He doesn’t peddle tales of dragons and destined heroes. Instead, he drags gods through the dirt, watches mortals rise in defiance, and asks what’s left when hope is shattered and death refuses to come.
His series, Tales from Vatngaard, is forged from Nordic myth, personal ghosts, and a thirty-year itch to tell a story the old way: with blood, ash, and the occasional laugh in the face of misery. These are not stories for the faint of heart, but for the stubborn—the ones who stare into the dark and ask it for answers.
He lives in Iceland, writes with a vengeance, and dedicates his work to his daughters—who make sure he doesn’t get too full of himself.
